Red Octagon 1/2 Cloth 1/2 leather in BRG?!?

Red Octagon 1/2 Cloth 1/2 leather in BRG?!?

I am debating colors.....between BRG/B & DS/B. Today i am on the BRG side of the fence (oh, but why must it be metallic!?!)

My wife has these seats in her CR, and i really like them, esp the lumbar. However, i kind of think they might look goofy in a BRG. Either that, or it will look great....

Anyone have any pics of this combo? Thoughts & opinions are welcome too!

thanks!

I think it will look great! I always wanted BRG/W with red interior. unfortunately, mini does not offer this option for canada. it's a VERY british racing colour combo

That would be the perfect color combo for Kris Kringle

Don't forget that you don't see any of the exterior colour of the car when sitting in the car (unless you get the coloured dash inserts). Hey, I have it on my LY MCS so if it can work with yellow it can work with green.

I love red seats in any car any colour.

If i were to get the red interior... it would be in a PW/B. That combo is just SEXY.

I can almost see it in DS, not BRG. But in a white or black mini, it would look hot.

just my opinion

It would be hot on DS... however, I don't think the dark green and red work well together (Unless it is Christmas). But it is all up to you.

I have always been partial to a nice rich tan interior with BRG. The tan & black seats are very nice if you like leather.

I think BRG w/red int. would look great and would be very unique.
I would have gone that route myself if the octagon red option hadn't put me over my self imposed Mini Cooper S budget.

Go ahead, do it! You know you want to!

I was thinking about doing Octagon Red with a Space Blue car, but chickened out. Went with gray cloth, but I am thinking about getting some Wet Okoles with a 'wine' center section to get the look. If I don't like it, I can always change seat covers. You might consider an approach like that...if you are too cautious, like me.

thanks for the insight. Right now Otto's Test MCS is a PW/B with red interior....very, very hot. I'm just not a PW kind of guy.

I think the red seats easily work well in the CR - Black (both) PS & DS. So, next week, when I am picking between PS & DS, this won't be as much of an issue!

BRG & Tan is VERY classic. However, I am coming out of a Black & Tan miata...too similar. Plus, i really don't want full leather. I LOVE the cloth inserts....

As for getting covers later, one of the reasons for going with the 1/2 leather now is to get the lumbar.

thanks!!!

One thing to keep in mind about the cloth part of the interior.

They water stain really easy , PITA to keep care of. If I had known this when I ordered I would have went with Full leather.
Looks great, hard to keep care of.
I'm not trying to change your mind just giving you more info to consider.
Cheers

I haven't had that same experience. I've had rain & snow and water from when I've washed the car get on the seats and they have absolutely no stains on them. I never treated them with anything (like Scotchguard) either...I do use leather care on the leather surfaces and I've even gotten that on the red cloth and no stains.

I love these seats...one of my favourite things about my car.

Have a historical perspective. Go BRG/White with Cordoba leather.

The Octogon Red/Black leather is not only one of the nicest choices but leaves 500 clams for something else over all leather still having the lumbar. What a different look that would make in a BRG car!!!!!!! I had a chance for a perfectly equipped MCS that had the Cordoba leather in it but just couldn't get used to it. Perhaps with BRG/Black top it would all blend nice. Just my 2 cents here. Go for it!!!!!!!
