My dealer also had a $249 doc/preparation fee. This is why I insisted on a $350 discount off the negotiable MSRP. I didn't care where the discount came from, but there was no way my total cost was going to be more than the MSRP.

I got $50 gift cert. for Mini gear, and they also offer loaner car for service.
But full tank of gas is a 'Perk', that sounds stupid. Why don't they say, 'Top off all the fluid' and 'Inflate all the tires' as another Perks?! That sounds a lot to a new car buyer.
BTW, I just want to give a thumbs up to my MA, since he get me the latest 2005 DVD map for free!

FWIW, we are on our way to pick our our MCSa. Being as we were expecting it on wed, my MA has already told me that he has thrown in the rubber floor mats & the boot mat.

I noticed the gift certificate says it's for MINI gear. But I dealer let me use it towards a aux port and a glove box organizer.

My dealer really rewards customer loyalty.
I was rewarded for helping my dealer sell cars too ... an "employee discount" on a 2002 MCS and a "discounted" Works Kit

MINI of the Hamptons has a loaner policy. And free pick up and delivery if you wish.

I said I could not believe I had to pay for mats on my 03 MCS, and they threw them in free. At the time, it was a big deal. Imagine paying only list and getting free floormats!

regards,
Red
