[QUOTE=skrutzen]Wow!
I almost don't want to tell you guys what I got for fear of strong opinons which, for the most part I share with all of you. [QUOTE]
I can see getting a tC if you have never been in a Mini, but why????? Believe me they are no where near the fun to drive factor. I know I sell Scion's and Toyota's every day.
Its made by toyota which is very reliable but still...Its a scion. Whatever though, you made your choice and as long as you are happy thats all that matters
Last I heard about the SC was that it will be released Sept. Can't wait to drive one. Last hp number I got was around 200. Even if they are more they still can not handle like a Mini.
I almost got a tC before the Mini. But the Scion lacked a little appeal to me.
It's been almost since the tC came out I am glad that I went with the Mini..
IMO, the tC is the next Civic what the Corolla could never be... Oh, well, enjoy the car
I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone on the forums. I traded in my 2003 MCS last Monday. I decided to get rid of the MINI because it was at the point of needing expensive repairs that I couldn't afford. Also, because of the MCS needing 91 octane, the cost of gas was killing me.
Thanks for the almost 3 years of invaluable information and general comraderie. It will be missed.
When I was young, (about 40 years ago), I used to trade cars often because I just wanted a new/different car. Think maybe that's what happened here? Seems like clutch repair would be a whole lot less than years worth of additional car payments, sales tax, probably more expensive insurance, etc. Nothing wrong with trading cars and I did my share, but it was a rare case indeed when it was a way to save money. The Scion will also most likely depreciate a lot faster than the MINI.
I don't mean to be critical, after all, it's your car and your money. I just thought about the way I was once and wondered if this was a simular case?
Hey, skrutzen has decided to switch cars and tell us about it rather than slink off into the sunset without comment. I respect him for letting us know and I hope he will have fun with his new tC.
It has a bigger engine 2.4L DOHC 4 Cyl N/A rated at 160HP stock, to be exact.
The tC is nothing more than a Toyota Camry.
What a snoooooozeeee
Nice.. way to rain on the guy's parade... Why not let the guy feel good about his purchase/decision.
Better to not say anything if you have nothing nice to say...
While on the subject of TC's i have heard a few of them and they had an awesome exhaust note, but i do not know whether it was an aftermarket exhaust that looked stock or stock, either way have an awesome time in your tc, if i had the money i would be all over the xb!
