I was pulling away from the movie theatre today and a kid from across the street yells, "I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOUR CAR!!!!"

I don't know if I should feel violated or complimented ???

It was pretty funny in any case.

I'm not too sure, but it probably ties into some sarcastic comment or some strange twist of the "Mini's are for queer's" comments.

Yeah, that's a bit over the top...but I'd take it as a compliment. Obviously they really like MINIs. Ya might talk to Battle Cattle...seems he had a similar encounter.

 

The wife thinks he was borrowing a line from the new Dukes Of Hazzard movie...yes we saw it...no I am not ashamed...yes it was funny.

 

An sweet elderly lady with a British accent approached me in the parking lot of the grocery store today and wanted to know what part of England I was from. A good guess, I would think, since my MINI is plastered all over the roof with a Union Jack. "I'm sorry, Maam, I'm not, but my car is..." pointing to Jack, "He is from Oxford!"
She was thrilled. "So am I!" she said with an ear to ear smile.
Made my day!

 

Some guy at a gas station in Denver asked if that was "one of those electric cars"...


Well, um, yes, in many ways it has electricity in it

 

One of those electric cars? How about this... at a weekend event, with three mini's present, a photographer, called mine a Metro (ACK!!).

Oh, well... I guess not everyone is educated in motoring.

I've never heard anyone say they liked my mini enough to partake in you know what (with it), but many said they "loved it". :smile:

btw, passed the 1200 break in point on Saturday. Oh happy miles!

I was at a Toby Keith concert this past weekend over at Hyundai Pavillion in DeVore, CA. Pick up truck and SUV heaven. I was well prepared to take some grief over my choice of transportation, but nothing of a kind. The response was truly amazing. People loved the Mini. Even once we got inside several aproached us because they remembered us driving a bright yellow car with numbers on the doors and the hood and the top down.

Our little cars just make people smile.

P.S. Fortunatly, no one wanted to have sex with the Mini. I however had my head smacked a few times by my wife for not managing to keep my eyeballs inside my head.

The other day I went to a neighbor's yard sale, and as I drove up I heard her tell her friends "Oh, here is my boyfriend, coming to take me for a ride!"


I'm glad my wife wasn't there with me! My neighbor really likes my MINI!
