How's this for a stress fracture?
1 Attachment(s)
The stress of a boulder hitting the windscreen. Craziest thing - I just overtook a tractor trailer to save my car as I was being showered by small pebbles and about a mile later, a huge rock popped off the back of a flatbed truck coming from the other direction. The impact was so hard, it put a hole in the A pillar trim and showered glass all over the inside of the car. I even had glass in my teeth. All in all, not a particularly pleasant experience - should have stayed behind the first truck.
New windscreen to go in this Friday (my second - first was a legitimate stress fracture) |
Woah!!! Hope your eyes were alright--that you are typing this thread is a good sign, I trust. Gotta be thankful for safety glass.

And then there's the idiots who don't wear helmets. Even with a helmet, you're easily looking at a broken bone or two, or even worse if it hits you somewhere particularly touchy, like your neck or a square hit on the heart! :eek2: |
 Wowee!!! Glad you're okay -

wow, sorry to hear.
I had one throw up from a car's tire in the lane next to me. The car was going the same direction as me. It hit the driver side door window and exploded all over me. I was not hurt and was able to pull over. The bad news was, tiny slivers of glass in my cloth seat, all down the side of the car. I ended up with them re-painting the whole driver side from the door back. The best part is it is sooo good for resale value, NOT! So make sure you vacume the inside really good. Glad to hear you are okay, cheers. |
Keep your teeth...never smile when rock is headed towards your head

Thanks to all - I've no doubt that the sunglasses came in handy today.
