Here are some pictures of my car waiting dealer prep so I can pick it up on Tuesday. They forgot to order the white MCS wheels so I will have to wait for them to arrive. Oh well, at least it is finally here.

OK Ryephile....
I've been reading up on the EBC Green Stuff ads and I'm about sold....you seeem impressed and the reviews are ALL good...what I really want/need to know is can I do this meself or should I hire it out. I'm pretty handy, but brakes seem like a *BAD* place to screw up!
Advice?
chef
Colinarm-You must be the only yellow exterior/ red interior out there...gotta like the individuality! How soon til you pick up?

I special ordered it, I have had yellow cars for a while now and I really liked the red interior. I was going to get Dark Silver with red interior but so many people have silver I wanted to be different. Normally you can't get the red with yellow in north america, but I special orderer it and am really happy how it turn out with the anthricite. I will post more pictures as I get the car ready for the race season.

Flo is in the garage~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is beautifull. The only thing better than a MINI road trip is a MINI roadtrip to pick up a new MINI in a MINI. I don't know if it was the EB/W combo or MINIJAMIE's gorgous rear end
But we sure got lots of attention bringing Flo home. Delivery was scheduled for 3. We had the paper work done and started the engine for the first time at 3:02. The S is MINE all MINE!!!!!! This is the 1st EB/W I have seen since my test drive last August absolutly incredible color. And the Lapis blue is icing on the cake!!!! Today we wassh the bugs off.
Had 4" of snow Mon, yesterday daytime driving 80 degrees got covered with bug's

I underestimated the interest in the mini of people on the street. We went out to dinner last night and got a parking place right in front of the restaurant. As we went in, two guys were on their way to their car. They were glancing over their shouldes at Pyro as they got in their car. Then they both got out, walked back and did the entire walk around, peering into the interior as well.
Then a little old ladi in the restaurant blurts our "Look at that little red car What is it"?
This is too much fun.
Chef, I'll post a picture of the shirt later. Right now it is pouring down rain, and I have to do my taxes today.
Also, changing disk brake pads is one of the easiest mechanical things you can do.
My daughter has done it on my VW, with me checking torque on the wheel lugs of course.

Hey all - here's my day 2 report (although Day2 just started)
Got the mini at 7pm last night. Drove it to Newark Airport to pick up the brother-in-law. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time. But good news is it handled beautifully. And I added 125 miles last night! Whoo hoo!
Today we take her to the races and the Big Apple. We have driven into NYC quite a few times before and on top of the $18-20 to park they charge an $8 SUV surcharge for our Pathfinder. Tonight I wanna see if they give me a rebate for driving a car 2/3 the normal size!!
I better record the mileage before I leave it with the attendants too!
Unfortunately, nobody around here even flinches when the y see the mini. There are a few in town where I work and the dealer is a few minutes from where I live. I have to drive home to Forest Hill, MD to get some reactions! Hee hee!
Have a great day everybody!! Congrats to all who have their minis and their new accessories.
P.S. I now want to get the storage compartments for under the toggle switches and in the glove box. And I saw some SWEET red/black seat covers! I am going to spoil my mini!! I love it!

Her 1st bath is over
Anyway The film is headed in I will try and post pics later. I ended up with Alarm, Driving lights, Lapis blue shift lever, and front rubber mats as my options. No performance mods for me. Will likely do the rear brake lights/fog light mod on both cars next week. Green stuff brake pads will be next on my list. Still thinking about the CD Changer (did you order yet ryan) Classic BMW will get most of my OEM business. There prices can't be beat, and no arrogant attitude I seem to experience at other BMW dealers. Now I need to get more SCCA info for this area. And save up for a driving school for MINIJAMIE and I. It is going to be one fun summer
Congratulations to all and
never mind I must go MOTOR
Ryan for your update

Ryan,
Be sure to post close-up pics of the warning label project. I was thinking this morning about taking a digital picture of the visor, then printing it out and making a matching sticker to cover the label. Just a thought.

Hey Guys! I just finished removing my sunvisor airbag warnings!
Check out the pics in page 2 of this thread:
Warning Removal
It turned out Great! Used Denatured Alcohol, a towel, and my fingers to rub off the quasi-sticker. Just soak the label for a minute in with a towel saturated with the denatured alcohol, then start rubbing it off! 10 minutes and you're done, yaaayyy!
Cheers,
Ryan

Ok guys, and gals. I changed the oil in Little Red this morning. All I have to say is
*PEACE OF CAKE*
2. when putting the canister back in, you must hold preasure on it because it is spring loaded. At first it was a SOB to get on till I got the hang of it and after that It was easy.
I did notice shavings in the oil, so I'm glad I changed it when I did, and didn't wait till the 10,000 miles.
Happy Motering Yo'll

In other news...
I filled up Mr. Motor for the first time today. Stopped at Shell on my way home from dinner with a friend. I got 27 MPG on my first tank, not bad I'd say!
Hey, it's better than my 3-er, and right in the middle of its' EPA rating, so ROCK-ON!

Hi you crazy people. What a wonderful day. The S deffinatly has more power than the Cooper. Lapis blue is awesome leather, I like it just as well as the Profile Panther black in the cooper. The Electric Blue gets way more attention than the PS/B. Suspension also is a huge improvement over the Cooper. DSC is going to get a real work out as soon as break in is over. About 900 miles to go and then I will introduce Flo to redline

Katiedidmini's Official OWAD report
(I'm gonna keep it short since there have been a few already)
Took Polythene Pam to run an errand today and for the the first time ever...no stalling!!!!!! I think I have got the hang of the handbrake technique as well, but I find I don't need it that often anyway. Yeah me!
Ok now about the car:
1.) The Anthracite is F*cking gorgeous!!!!!! Sorry for the vulgarity there, but my interior, anthracite on profile black leather, has totally blown me away. I NEVER expected it to look sooooooo goooooood!
2.) I had heard it's easy to speed in this car, but I never really understood before. Now I know what it is. 65 in a mini feels like 45. In my old car, if I went over 45, it dragged, it lagged and it felt very unstable. Poly feels free and smooth and ready for more more more, at 65!
3.) The runflats. I don't know what it was I thought I was driveing on before, but they couldn't have been made out of rubber, cuz my 16 " runflats feel very very smooth to me. On the really crappy roads, the ride does get bumpy(it is fun though). But the "harsh" ride I was expecting is nothing compaired to the knock-the-wind out of you feeling I got in my toyota.
Thing's I really enjoy:
my sunroof
the way the xenon's spark when you turn them on
how the interior light comes on when you turn the car off
and how all interior lights fade away instead of totally shutting off
the way I constantly depress my little profile leather bumps when I'm nervous
the VR/B color combo
and how cool I feel when I change gears in a smoothe and timely manner
addendum A: I haven't noticed any rattles. But I don't think I'm the kind of person who notices rattles. Stuff like that doesn't usually bother me.
addendum B: I rode in my own back seat for about 5 minutes the other day. Not to uncomfortable, but those seats are very upright.
Did I mention yet that I love this car?

Chalk up another graduate of the CWFA Club. I picked up my Chili Red MCS with white top and white 17” “S” Lites today. Fun car! I don’t know what all the fuss is about with the 17” and the run flats. I didn’t think the ride was all that bad. Then again our other two cars are a 2001 BMW X5 4.4 with sports package and the 19” wheels and a 2002 Chevy 2500HD truck that rides like, well a truck. There is no way I will be able to keep it under 4,500 rpm for 1200 miles; it’s been past that already today. The Navigation is DVD based. We picked the car up at Crevier in Santa Anna and the nav didn’t start to work until I was in the parking lot of the post office here in Julian, CA 115 miles later! What’s up with that? Any way, it was worth the wait. From a production date of March 11 to physical delivery on the west coast on April 12, that's pretty fast service!
