Redlands is good! It is the only place in the 909 where I feel comfortable living. It's not too busy, not too slow. The sidewalks roll up at 9pm instead of 6pm like they used to. They've added a bunch new shops in North Redlands (north of the 10) which is nice ... Does't cause more traffic where I live (a 1/4 mile away from Gerrards), and they have a Jamba Juice!!
Ordered "Banana Wind" from Brecht in San Diego! Somewhere between 7-9 days and counting!!!

Yucaipa is booming also! 2 years ago it was still an empty desert, now its got new housing track after new housing track. Too cookie-cutter for me. I like Redlands, my home is 75 years old.

That's just where all the Pacifico & Corona beers are swallowed! The house is 50 yards away, safe from rising tides. It's more Casa de Drunk then anything!

.... But because my folks, partner, and everyone else I know loves it, it's in my blooooooood and I have just as much fun. I hope no one from work reads this, but I had a really good alcoholic drink at lunch today at the Olive Garden - some almond kahlua (sp?) thing. First time EVER drinking at lunch on a work day.
I'm ready for a nap though now.

No Dragon for us this year either....
So we're joining the "Stay at home" club too... Donna
02' CR/W MCS (gone to MINI heaven - burned up)
05' Cool Blue MCSC "Ariel"
05' HB/W MCS on it's way - no name yet
There are 17,000 members on here and only 402 people have signed up for the Dragon. That is only 2% of the NAM members. Hardly a ghost town. While the Dragon sounds like fun, I think 400+ Minis crammed into a small town making a traffic jam everywhere they go, doesn't sound like much fun for me. I much prefer the Dragon empty. I have to deal with traffic everyday, dealing with it again on a vacation, even with a bunch of Minis, still doesn't make it any better.

So, if it takes a few days to get to the dealer, thats about the 6th or 7th, hopefully ready either the 7th or 8th.
I'll stick to this coast this year. Going up & down Palomar will be a Dragon for my ownself.
Nah, real mescal is the one to swig, then after the bottle's empty, and you're totally boracho, you get to knife-fight over who eats the worm. ;-)

Here is a tip I picked up from the Miata board a few years ago for all of you MINI people going to the Dragon.
1. Fold your wipers out like you are going to wash your MINI.
2. Take a pair of gloves.
3. Zip tie the gloves to the wipers.
4. Take off for the Dragon, turn your wipers on and you can "wave" at everyone while you concentrate on all of the curvies!
cool, eh?

Mini MINI dragon for us californiaites who can't make it over there - if any of you can find Old Highway 41 (between the 5 and San Luis Obispo) that's a mean piece of land! I don't think it's 17 miles
or however long the Dragon is, but it's at least 10 or so. Plenty of elevation changes, banking, sweepers, you name it. It's worth the trouble of finding, trust me!
