Michael J. Fox paid a nice homage to Chuck Berry on that scene. He even did the "Duck walk" that made it famous.
I want one!!!but I can't go to play with the Dragon...
CD sounds awesome...I'd love to get a copy but can't get to the Dragon...tough time of year for a teacher to miss 4-5 days
I would be willing to trade a copy of my "Made For Motoring" CD that I created to listen to on the drive home from picking up my MINI in April '03.
PM me an address if you want to swap and I'll send you mine back!
Here's the tracklist for my CD:
Sunshine Pig - Chris and Tad (from an early MINI ad)
Hot Rod Lincoln - Commander Cody
Roadrunner - The Modern Lovers
Brand New Cadillac - Clash
Crankshaft - Fiends
Devil In My Car - B-52's
Warm Leatherette - Grace Jones
5ive Gears In Reverse - Elvis Costello
Let's Buzz - The Paladins
Mustang Sally - Wilson Pickett
Route 66 - Rolling Stones
Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen
Middle Of The Road - The Pretenders
Rev It Up & Go - Stray Cats
Cadillac Cruisin' - Keith Joe **** & The Goners
Get Out Of My Way! - Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper
Behind The Wheel - Tailgators
I'm In Love With My Car - Queen
Cars - Gary Numan
Autobahn - Kraftwerk
Beep Beep - The Playmates
I almost always drive with my iPod set on shuffle for maximum randomness (anything from Mozart to the Cramps and you never know what's next...) but I also like a good mix disc. In fact when I started doing them they were mix tapes
imagine...4-5 hours creating and recording the perfect mix from vinyl
to cassette
. I still play a lot of my old vinyl, but much prefer the digital stuff for playing dj...I've even been messing around with some software that lets me play back vinyl through the computer and convert the songs to mp3s
I wonder if there's enough interest around the board to set up a thread for swapping favorite "motoring mix" discs through the mail...anyone???

<<ive got 10 more slots open on CD 2, lets hear some more suggestions>>
If you're tooling down the highway at 80 or so and James Taylor's Traffic Jam comes on, I bet the next time you look you'll be over a hundred.
The others on my list you already have.
Rich-It should be noted that in my family when my son Nat and I leave the driveway for a trip to the track or MOT, Steppinwolf Born to Be Wild get's me in the mood and takes me to the highway. It should also be noted that Nat indulges me in only this one thing.

Man I wish I could go.
My Mix:
Space Lord: Monster Magnet
Seven Nation Army: White Stripes
Pink Floyd or Roger Waters: Any Cut (I'm a nut for Floyd)
Widespread Panic: Ain't Life Grand
Phish: Any from Hoist
Rufus Wainwright: Oh What a World (for my wife..guilty pleasure for me)
Freddy Jones Band: In a Daydream
Jayhawks: Blue
Norah Jones: any...damn she's good
Bonnie Raitt: ditto
Queensryche: Silent lucidity
Beck: Where It's At/Loser..haven't heard the new one yet hear it's good.
Billy Thorpe: Children of the Sun
Jerry Harrison: Rev it Up
Norman Greenbaum: Spirit in the Sky (guilty pleasure...love that song!)
Radiohead: Fake Plastic Trees
Dada: Dizz Knee Land (funny how that song is relevant again)
Cake: Rock n Roll Lifestyle
Cracker: Low
Audioslave: any
Green Day: Anything American Idiot
I'll stop there...you've hit my favorite thread. I LOVE music. But I'll try to stop before I bore. Maybe one or two on my list will

Some various artists such as:
ATB
Paul Oakenfold
Sasha
John Digweed
For a little harder edge Joe Satriani- "Surfing with the Alien". If you've never heard it give it a listen for you rock n roll guys. Great guitar work.
Just great cruising music to drive fast to.

No mix CD is complete without some Britney! I'd suggest Opps, Cinderella, Baby One More Time, Stronger, Before the Goodbye, Me Against The Music etc, etc.. Plus remixes!
Also ABBA is always a definate! BoA is a must as well. Some Laura Branigan won't hurt, especially the Self Control remixes.
