Coming from GM cars, the 3-spoke buttons were very natural to me.

Looked at all the pics, and there were 3 different steering wheels that I could see. A 3-spoke that looked like the ones on the cars at Desert MINI now, a non-MFSW 2-spoke and a 2-spoke that looks just like the late 03 one with the thumb rests and the same buttons as my early 03 MFSW. I think either they are still selling the same 2 spoke in Europe as they used to have here, or MINI used a couple of old 2 spoke wheels they had lying around for the show cars.

I would not trade my 2 spoke for anything and I don't have the bogus thumb things on my 02 MCS.

The 2-spoke always had the cruise-control and horn buttons on the front.[/QUOTE] I didn't remember that many buttons (as shown in the auto show pic) in a symetrical left-right arrangement, but then I only used the cruise control on one trip in summer of '03. (Never used the horn much either.)

I don't know why its so difficult for so many people but i'm going to HIGHLY miss my MF buttons from the back of the 2-spoke. Once you have them memorized (not long) it works beautifully and become second nature for changing radio stations and changing volume.

After a while it would actually make me mad when i had to actually reach for the radio....

All i would have to use is my index and middle fingers to do almost anything i wanted on the radio. With the 3 spoke coming on my 05' i'll have to get used to using my thumbs....

Now be careful!!!! If y'all are gonna mix it up with MINIUSA on the 2-spoke wheel, I'm gonna call foul on the absence of Electric Blue for Coopers and I know some of you MCS owners aren't gonna like that!! (not to worry though, I think I'm the only one really miffed about it. )

I love the "bogus thumb things" on my 03 MCS. BTW, I think the 3-spoke looks like something that belongs with a Nintendo game!

Umm get it right, Its the Playstation steering wheel!

I actually loved the thumb grips on my 04' 2 spoke also. If you notice on any REAL racing wheel they have those thumb grips to correctly position your hands.

I don't want Hot Orange. I want a REAL orange hardtop. Metallic burnt tangerine. Or International distress orange. I want an orange that says "I'm ORANGE dammit!!!!"
Something like the orange on the 350Z, but brighter.

i think an orange in general should be added to the hard top. it would be perfect for fans of Halloween (O/B), and Univ of Tennesse or Texas (O/W)
