Will I fit good in a Mini at 6'3"?
I live in Iceland and there is no Mini that I know of around. I am getting ready to buy two.
|
I am 6'1" and I fit easy and the driver seat can go back so far I can hardly touch the pedal.
|
Hey man...I'm 6'3" and I fit great!!! There's tons of room to spare!! I have a friend that is around 6'5" or 6'6" and he still had to pull the seat forward quite a bit to be able to reach the pedals properly!!
|
You will fit fine if you move the seat forward. I am 6'4" and fit with room to spare, even with a helmet on:thumbsup:

My uncle is 6'5" and was perfectly comfortable in the driver's seat of my car. As long as the seat is cranked all the way down vertically, there's plenty of room! Remember, the MINI is nearly as tall and wide as many "larger" cars, like the Jetta, Civic, and Ion (within 1-2"). It's just really short.
Welcome to NAM!!! |
I'm 5'8"Sure I fit,but I have freinds that think this car is so comfy, and they are 6'4" or so 250+ lbs. they think it fits them fine:thumbsup:
Even after a long motor:wink:  |
From the earliest days of the new MINI, it was promoted as being able to accommodate drivers up to 6'8" tall! I remember seeing a picture of a guy who is 7' tall buying one!

I'm 6'4"*
Yes. Plenty of room. *Started out at 6'4" but old age is starting to wear me down... :sly: |
Remember... they have the same front head and legroom as a Hummer H2
I know quite a few well over 6 footers that drive MINIs |
I'm just about the same ht. as you at 6'-2 1/2" and I have no problem what so ever, in fact I don't even have my seat pushed all the way back,

My friend is 6'7" and he said this is the first car he has fit in.

You'll be fine, I'm 6'1" or 6', depending on who you ask, I have no problems! Just wait until you get people staring at you as you get in your MINI!!! It's worth a great laugh!!!! If I push the seat all the way back, I can't reach the pedals...or I can actually, it's just they are so far away....you may have to lower your seat all the way, but it's still a very comfy ride!!!

I'm 6'1, fit fine. My GF is 6.0 and long legged 36" inseam! ...She fits great.
My father is 6'4, with a 34" inseam - he steals my MCS for any excuse he can! Loves to drive it, and says its one of the few cars that he fits really well in - room to spare. He can adjust seat & s-wheel enough for a proper & comfortable driving position. The only issue with the MINI is the roofline when looking at some traffic lights. Depending on seating position the roofline JUST blocks out the lights. ...Not enough to be a real pain, but worth mentioning. |
Go to www.lightinsight.com. They have a traffic viewer that fits on the windshield to help with the traffic light problem! Definitely worth the money, and they aren't that expensive either...like $12 I think! Just sticks there and is a big help!

My dog is about 1.4" tall and she has plenty of room. Her only complaint is that she wishes she "could reach the pedals..."

Well, I think you got the picture!! You won't have a problem at all!!
I was SOOO worried about my husband -- he is a big guy! He is your height and hefty too. I didn't think he would be able to fir let alone drive the car, but he can! He didn't fit into my Celica Convertible at all -- we ALWAYS had to take his car. Well, now I have to do all the driving . . . I am LOVING it!! |

Regardless of overall height people are proportioned differently. Remember that John Wayne rode "tall in the saddle"? It wasn't just because of his overall height, but also because his torso was long in proportion to his legs. Despite the inconvenience of having to travel a great distance to a dealership it makes sense to try out a MINI in person before spending the money and learning after the fact that you can't see the traffic signals or just don't like the fit. |
First day I brought my MINI to work I had a 6'7 tall buddy sit in it to see what he thought. Would have been perfect for him if the steering wheel was like that of the Caddie's, is it called telescoping steering wheel??
Anyways, I have more than enough room at 5'9  |
I'm 6'1"
Seat doesn't need to go all the way back which is nice...however head does touch the top (I have sun roof so actually my head touches the netting) even with seat racheted all the way down. I don't mind too much but do notice it. |
Check this thread out about a 6'6" tall guy:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=18061 Funny thing is, the dealership MAs couldn't figure out how to adjust the seat to get him to fit. I knew how so I offerred to give him a test drive in my MCS. The very next day he ordered one! |
