big dummy

I purchased a 2003 MINI S in 2003. Happiest I've ever been with a car! I move to Charlotte, and convince myself that I need a car with more room (I have no idea why) and go trade my beloved car in for an Audi A4. It's 4 months later and I'm going to put a deosit down on a new 05 tomorrow. Not once did I carry anything in the Audi that I couldn't have carried in my Cooper. I can't begin to tell you what a mistake it was to get rid of my car. You don't know what you've got until it's gone fits very well here. The up side is the LSD, a few more HP, smaller gears, rear fog, and that new rack system so now I can carry my bikes without using my Yakima rack. Basically, a terible move being corrected. I miss my Jet Black Cooper, but she's being replaced with a Chili Red (matching roof) S (although that may change to another Jet Black). The 6-8 week wait will be much easier than the 5 months I waited last time. It sure is nice to be back. Thanks for letting me make my recover step. My name is Craig and I'm an addict.

Hey, Craig! It takes a big man, not a big dummy, to realize his mistake and then take measures to rectify it! Hurray for you! You tried the Audi, it wasn't for you, and have ordered your new MCS! Welcome back to the fold!

Hi Craig, Chris here and I'm an addict too. It's been 2 hours since my last MINI Drive.

I take it that's Charlotte, NC you moved to??? If so, I look forward to bumping into you at one of the events we have here in the Southeast and if you're ever up around Asheville, drop me a line and we'll motor.

Clo, it's great to see a fimilar name again. It's been too long. Only 4 months, but it seems like longer. Thanks for having me back.

Smokey, that will be great! I've gone up to Asheville to ride the Blue Rideg Parkway on my bike (pedal bike) and it's beautiful up there. I keep meaning to bring my wife up there, but what fun would that drive be from Charlotte to Asheville in the Audi? Please keep me posted on the gtgs because I'd love to come out. 2 hours? I WISH I could say that right now.

I told my wife I was never going to get rid of my last Cooper, even if I wanted/needed a different car. I think it's safe to say that this time, that'll stick.

My wife has an A4. Nice car and well appointed. But whenever the family goes out together my two daughters always want to take the MINI

The A4 is definitely a beautiful car, very good all around. I'm just not nearly as happy with it as I was/will be with the Cooper. I'm definitely not knocking the Audi.

There are no straight roads around Charlotte. Perfect place for a MINI.

Clo, I am going to be at a NASCAR event that weekend! I work for a Public Relations firm here in Charlotte, and all of our clients are race programs, and we attend all of the events. Luckily I only go to 19 events, but that's still a lot. One of these years I will be there. I've been reading about that event ever since I had my 03. It sounds like too much fun and I promise, one of these years I'm coming.
