There is a silver Mini with a white roof in the last few frames of the latest trailer for the movie "Hitch". Has anyone else noticed it?

Seen the commercial a couple of nights ago and of course I yelled "A MINI".

 

I jumped out of my seat and spilled my coffee when I saw the commercial for Hitch

 

Bad movies can happen to good cars!

 

Along the same line, on the show Alias the tech/computer guy was driving a Cooper too.

 

I've spotted a MINI in the tv show CSI (The Original) and also in the movie Mrs. Congeniality 2. The Cooper in Mrs. Cong. is a Dark Silver/Black Roof and Mirrors, Black stipes and a the sunroof! Don't remember the one in CSI but it was a MINI!

I'll look for it in Hitch! HaHa

 

Unfortunately, the best parts of Hitch are all apparently in the trailer.

The good news is that MINIs are TAKING OVER THE WORLD! Muahaha, muahaha, muahaha!

 

Ok, maybe not MY MINI, but one that sure looks like it is! A Dark Silver/White top MCS is in the soon-to-be-released "Hitch" with Will Smith. There is a scene with a couple in the MINI and Will Smith holding on to the roof. Can't wait to see it. Hopefully the drive-in will play it this spring so I can bring my MINI to see it also.

Yeah...seems to be a fairly popular mini/tv show car. Off the top of my head I can think of Italian Job (1&2), Scrubs, upcoming Miss Congeniality 2. Anyone think of any others?

 

Ok...threads were merged, so we added Alias and an appearence on CSI. I saw one on the Osbournes (apparently Ozzy and crew have several). Any more?

 

They show internal parts and shots of the Tach, key and ignition switch in a new Castrol GTX commercial.

 

I actually saw this cooper for sale in the online auto trader last month. It was at the begining of Dec when I was hunting for my mini and I stumbled across it. Now I don't remember if it was auto trader or not, I looked on several different sites. I would have bought it if it had a black top. There was a picture from the movie with Will Smith and Eva Mendez standing beside the car. The posting said that was in a movie that was comming out soon. If I am not mistaken they were only asking like $17,500. Kinda neat.

 

Actually it's a Dark Silver MCS (with white top) - just like mine! In fact, it could even be mine.

And to top it off, I know a friend that knows a friend that knew someone who worked on the set that says it's an S with a 19% pulley!

Im new the forum I just recently bought my MCS last month from the owner who placed that add online from the movie Hitch!. It is Dark Silver with a white roof and black leather inside. I has Cold weather and convience package and ASC as well as a load of othe features. In fact the car is signed by Will Smith himself. The former owner also gave me behind hte scenes photos of the car being filmed in different scenes and was used for over two weeks of film. I was given all of the service records but I know NOTHING about the pulley installed in the car but someone mentioned that their friend worked on the set of the movie? I know it seemed like it performed a lot peepier than my friends but I though that was personal pride or me being macho that my own car was faster anyeone eles. Either way the cars still awsome. I cant wait to see the movie! Does any one know where the premiere is and where it will be? Im imagining its in midtown sometime next week since the movie comes out Feb 11 next friday and was filmed almost entirely in NYC downtown and most of the Mini scenes actually in Soho on spring street. Also does anyone know where the complete trailer with the my Mini is posted? Everywhere on the web including the actually Hitch website has the one without the Mini scenes included...

I saw a music video from like 1999 or 2000 the other day and the only car in it is the classic mini, the video is called, "somewhere in the middle", check it on Yahoo Launch sometime. there are like 4 different beautiful classics in it.

HA! I thought I was the only one who does that! whenever I see one im like...A MINI. Even if im by myself...theyre even fun to see!

 

Seen another in the movie Wicker Park.
First shot of it is just a flash but the eyes know it's a MINI.
Later you see her get in the car and yes it's a MINI.

 

That MINI on CSI is probably Randy's (maxmini). He works on that show and they used it back in '02, if I remember correctly!

I saw a yellow mini in the movie "Malibu Most Wanted" and on the short lived TV show "Kean Eddie".

 

I have a Hitchmobile! Nearly jumped out of my seat last night during the last scene in the movie when an MCS like mine.....DS/W with V-spoke wheels.....popped up on the screen. And then there's the Will Smith
Philadelphia connection......where I was born and raised.

 

There's an LY/B MC (I think) for about 10 seconds in the 3rd episode of the 4th season of Coupling -- the BBC one, not the American one.
