R50/53 What alarm do you have on you 2003?
I was disapointed when I picked up mn DSB MCS that the alarm on the 2002's were not available for my car. The dealer recommended Lo Jack but I'm not sure.

hi all,
as a new cooper owner i can say i am very happy to be a part of the family. my girlfriend and i just got our silk green cooper with white top, mirrors, and wheels last week. it's very pretty car.
two small things that are not quite right that i have questions about though:
we have the profile leather which seems to be kind of "bunched up" in the back seat and not fitted quite right. has anyone seen this on other cooper with leather? wondering if we should talk to the dealer about this.
also, the GPS does not function correctly when we try to put in into "information" mode. when we try to look for info on the destination our system crashes --

I have LoJack, but was not even sure I should get that - I really don't like normal car alarms at all though and I felt like I might as well have something to help get the car back.
I might place a bright LED somewhere in the car to simulate and alarm, I did that on a previous car and it worked quite well. The only time the car ever was broken into was the day I forgot to turn on the LED!
My new thought is perhaps having motion activated lasers inside the car, which I thought would look quite high-tech and intimidating.
