Brand new clutch is SLIPPING?!!!
Pulled the trigger on a clutch job for my 2004 R50 Midlands. Took it an hour and a half away to a shop that specializes in MINIs. Had them do a bunch of other preventive maintenance "while they were in there." Ended up spending over twice the resale value of the car hoping to get a few more years out of it...
The new clutch is slipping! At 3,500 rpm in any gear, if I floor the gas pedal, it'll slip up to 4,500-5,000 rpm pretty quick.
Is this a thing that happens with new clutches? I've probably put about a thousand miles on it so far... Is there anything that can be done, or do I need to take it all the way back and make them fix it?

1) Did they replace the rear mail seal while in there? Any odors detected in cabin when it's slipping ?
2) Did they re-used any of the bolts for flywheel ect ? If they did, they are one time only use and have seen used ones back out.
3) 1.5hrs not a long trip when going to a shop learned in MINI, maybe call them and at least get it on record verbally until you can make the trip.
