Hey all! '04 Cooper S here..... First of all, I have the xenon headlights which is great, but I hate that the fog lights are halogen and don't match. Any recommendations for brand of bulb or specific bulb brightness to make the fogs match the headlights? And on that note, are there any full kits out there to go full LED for all the bulbs in general? Would be down to do both interior and exterior.

Also, I know from my BMW experiences that getting cheap, off brand replacement badges and emblems, they never last.... They start peeling and fading after like a year. Recommendations for emblems and badges for mini's? Genuine or bust? I was just looking on FCP Euro as I'm close to them and I have many friends who work there, so that's my go-to spot for all parts. Especially with the lifetime warranty.

 

You mention you have many friends that work for said company. Did you ask them your questions? I think that would most likely answer your questions.

 

......... none of them own mini's, so all they could do would be list parts that they have. They don't sell aftermarket fog lights just standard bulbs which I'm not looking to get.....obviously any OEM badge will be good, but they do not sell aftermarket, which is what I'm asking about to potentially save money. If you don't care to help with the problem, no need to waste time and reply.

 

I was thinking they would be a good resource as they worked there. Sorry about that.

With respect to Badges - Front or Rear;:
I replaced both of mine 6 years ago, purchased from @ECS Tuning and they still look brand new.
In addition: I also replaced both rear tail light housing/lenses at the same time - Also purchased from ECS. They too, still look brand new!

The back story::
3 years after purchasing my '04 R53, brand new in late 2003, both front and rear badges had completely faded. Still under warranty, I had them both replaced by the MINI dealer. They lasted 2 years = totally washed out/faded again.
