Bonnet/Trunk dash light won't go off

Good Evening, All! Hoping All can help! I have a Beautiful 2006 British Racing Green Mini Cooper S - I LOVE HER! She only has 65,000 miles on her! I've noticed recently, especially when it's rained - her bonnet/hood open latch light comes on the dashboard. I have tried and re-tried opening and closing both the bonnet and trunk to no avail. May I ask of any remedies, solutions...Thank You, All! Abbey's Mom

The sensor for the bonnet is on the passenger side between the headlight and the radiator, just unplug it.

Make sure it's the trunk or hood.. the hood latch sensor can fall out or come loose so when closed it doesn't register. The trunk latch wears out and gets pressed in over time and can be unbolted and slid back n forth to correct the distance and keep the body lines strait back there and full contact with sensor..even then , my trunk needs a good slam shut for it to register it shut. Lol and I mean I slam it.
