Throttle body to supercharger tube won't fit correctly- help?

I needed to replace my leaking water pump and I hate to admit this but so far the most difficult part by far has been reattaching the supercharger intake tube (the one that runs from the throttle body into the supercharger). I've struggled with it for quite a bit; I try to pop it into the green gasket and that goes okay, but as soon as I try to put that horn thing on the duct (the curved metal piece that connects to the intercooler), it immediately pops out of the green gasket at the supercharger.

I've tried screwing the duct in first, but that ended up with me snapping the tab at the end of the duct when I tried to connect the intercooler horn. I'm going to have to put some jb weld on it and try again tomorrow I guess. Is it supposed to be this much of a PITA or am I doing something clearly wrong? Any advice/tips?

The supercharger and it's horn need to be bolted to the block and then you can install the plastic boost tube BUT you need to have the gasket installed on the SC 1st and slide the tube onto it ( I got a new hose that tiny 3in one for the plastic tube so it fits easier into the right side horn) but have the horn installed BUT not bolted down just resting on the 3x bolts that hang out so it can be positioned inline with the plastic boost tube., as you bolt down the throttlebody and it's retaining bracket you will see that tab you broke off finally line up to feed the bolt through. Last piece you install is the intercooler. Iiiiiiiiiif you end up needing a new boost tube I have a used one and good gasket still for much cheaper than flebay or anywhere so if you need one hmu

It's not you, it's definitely a PITA. MiniManAdam has some good tips about not tightening everything down until after the install. Good luck.

Thanks for that insight, MiniMan.
I'll most likely be attempting this myself in the next month or so (weather permitting).
