This is miniln and I just received email from AskMini with a status of 155!!! Does that mean I just changed to 'can't wait for January!!?!! based on the WW sail dates posted elsewhere??
(AKA lns1122 because I messed up registering in two different domains).

That is interesting that all of us 1/10-ers have the least popular colors. I saw a PW/B this weekend and it looked great! I haven't seen the VR on the roads yet but I'm sure it's beautiful.

I called askmini yesterday (12/30) and my status is 152 = Paint Shop Started!!!

By the way, I am in Seattle too and was also given over a year wait time ... so I went with the closest dealer with the best wait time/cost in Salt Lake, MINI of Murray.

Question ... do you have to call the 800 # to get the status #?

 

1-866-ASK-MINI is the number. They will ask you for the last 7 digits of your VIN (from the 'T' on out). Was told yesterday that mine is still status 150. Come on people, get my car ,moving like everyone elses!!!

This wait is killing me.

 

Oh, also plan on jigging up the rear brake lights to include the European fogs. This is super easy to do and looks great. There is a thread someone on here thats describes in detail several methods of doing it,

I was all set to order a Indie Blue/White Mini until I walked into the showroom as saw a PW/PW sitting in there. Pictures really don't do it justice. (when it is clean) it is an incredible looking color. Seeing it in the showroom made me change my color choice completely. Plus I like the fact that is semi-rare amoungst Mini colors. See a lot of BRG and Chili Red on the road around here.

I will be sure to post pics when she arrives.

Just a bit of a correction for the status list- first of all, my car is:
(MC: SG/B)
and in my phone call this morning to askMINI, they confirmed that the latest status report they had on my car was still "152" as of 12/20. If only I'd been moved to 155! It surprises me that the updates from the factory take so long- if my car has really been in the paint shop this long, it will weigh twice as much wearing all that paint!

I simply sent an email from the Owner's Lounge late last night and had an email answer this morning.

 

I'm working on a skid plate as I'll probably end up on gravel roads sooner or later. My brother (who once drove his Sport Spyder through a ditch and a fence row highly recommended one ..) and a friend who auto-crosses his Miata .. and a couple of dudes with BMMRs .. too much advice to ignore. Also thought I'd get aluminum sill plates.

Another small observation about Club Feb., seems to be quite a few MINIs with the same body color roof. On the "Same Body Color Roof Club" thread, seems to be only a handfull but Club Feb has its fair share of the "clean" look vs. the "classic" look. Again, just my observation (I really need to do something else while waiting for my MINI)

I have to say, your MINI is going to look HOT! I drove by my local MINI dealer yesterday (as I've been doing every day for the past 6 months!) and saw my first VR MC... What an awesome color! The one the had on the lot had a black roof, but I imagine your VR/VR will be incredible! You gotta take pics when it arrives! :smile:

It must take more time to paint the best colors. That's why there are so few of them out there.
