R50/53 The "Can't Wait for Feburary Club" arrives!
>> the toggle switch panel has been replaced with a full six switch european one,
>where did you get the new european one? what you will connect to the new switch?
>cost?
This discussion on MINI2 might be interesting for anyone that wants to replace their toggle switches:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=11943
They will find "mikeythemini" there, who is the person that supplied me the toggle switch panel ... remember there are two types (with "DSC" or "ASC" label for the traction control).
My plan is to get the rear fogs to work as they should ... there are people trying to figure the programming codes, but if not I will make a potted module at work.

Weaverpsu,
>>Please post pics of your mcs with the chrome grill, my understanding was it wouldnt fit the S, its four bars instead of 3 i believe. I asked the dealer about that in july and he said he didnt think it could be done.
When I left the dealership yesterday, the top half of the chrome grille was already fitted (they needed to do it before the rally lights). So it definitely fits - but I have no pics yet because they were working on it still.
The bottom single slat in the bumper will not be done till it comes back from body shop ...
Pics next weekend?

Well guys, it looks like I was one of the first to graduate from Club Feb, and probably the first to have my MINI smashed...

Hey Gang,
In 42 hours I will have my MC. I just know it will be love at first sight!
And FYI, MINIUSA OL says she's still at VPC. So take their info with a grain of salt!
I'll report in after I have my baby.

Tony,
After waiting so long, it can only be hell now that you've had the MINI and now have to wait for it to get out of the body shop.
Time for an upgrade to the MINI RS?

No, not mine, one of our Marchers. I suspect the MINI was on the wrong ship. The FIDELIO was bound for Charleston, SC, but the MINI's owner is in California. Hopefully that's the issue as opposed to it being accidentally dropped in the water.

update as of Friday I called ASKMINI and to my surprise it was transfered to the truck to be taken to the dealer. I have an estimated dealer arrival date of 1/17, but I won't be able to pick up my MC till the 2/22 since I go to college full time. I haven't been able to enjoy the good news to much since I ended up in the hospital last night. I have just caught this horrible flu that has caused me to become very ill

Weird thing is it had 21 miles on it... I was hoping for a single digit. It still had plastic coating and they hadn't fitted the rally lights yet. Next time I see my baby, he'll be completely ready to motor!!
Oh, happy happy Monday!!!!
Oh, happy happy Monday!!!!
Finally got to see how this sucker can corner. Took Ferris through some windy/hilly corners. Literally was smiling from ear to ear. One thing though. I already have an occasional rattle! Still trying to find out where it is coming from. I don't hear it all the time so it is making it difficult to pin-point. That being said here are some additional words of wisdom:
First off, Tony that freakin sucks. From one PW/B to another you have my deepest condolences. I say go hockey fight style on her a$$ (pull her sweater over her head and then hit her hard in the stomach).
Second, Kgladstone. My MA told me that Mini's can have anywhere from 4 to 22 miles on them upon arrival. This all depends on how often they have to be moved, etc. Mine had only 8 miles on it when I got it
Third, Digitalpussi. Sorry that you feel ill. I have had a lot of patients with a diarrhea-vomitting combo that will not quit lately. Our hospital is full of them. Even I had it once as well as most of my fellow staffers. Took me nearly 5 days to get over it. At one point I was walking around work with a Heplock'ed IV line in my arm so I could get some IV fluids every 4 hours or so. What we have going on around here is the Norwalk virus (like the one on the cruise ships making all those people sick). Perhaps you have something similar in your neck of the words.
Fourth, Needler. Hang in there brother. Soon you will be tooling around in the coolest car imaginable.
Fifth, Mother Nature. Hey, quit with this snow crap. You are making it hard to keep the car clean!

As a matter of fact, I did! She's a beaut. Congrats, SMKKVK! Be sure to post pix in the members gallery!
>>Otto, congrats on getting your car. I have only driven mine once since I got it. I have been at work for nearly 33 hours now.
Thanks, Driving_Hamster. Hope you and the rest of the Club Feb members who have been under the weather recover in time to enjoy their Minis when they arrive......or when you get off of rotation!
You're wife has a wicked sense of humor. Too funny!
Dominicminicoopers, anything get resolved yet or still number crunching. I was almost in a similar boat, so I definitely can sympathize. Again, keep the faith, brother.

Something interesting happened tonight possibly a sighting of my Mini before it reached the dealer
My dad called me and told me that he saw a transport truck with a CR/W MC. My parents live about 300 and some miles north from me. The Transport truck would have to go through my hometown of Merced before finally arriving in Sacramento. My est. arrival date is 2/17, but I was told by AskMINI to expect it early. So tomorrow I am going to call the dealer to see if it arrived if so it might have been my MC my dad saw tonight....but I could be totally wrong of course

Well, it looks like Club Feb is thinning out
SMKKVK....once you get a chance from Motoring and taking piccies, I hope you could occasionally do an update. I know it might be difficult prying the steering wheel from your fingers
Congrats!!!
For those of us still waiting...Hang Loose!!!! This month is almost over!
