I would like to make a correction to your up date list. First of all, my username is
GT4RACER not GT3RACER. Second, Iam part of the 1/17 production date group.
Now for the realllllyyy good News, MY BABY is at the dealer as of 1:30 pm CST today. I will be picking it up on 2/10 in the afternoon. The dealer has to install the alarm and my other options on Monday and Tuesday. Besides the fact that Tuesday is my day off from work. I will be picking it up as per scheduled in the Owner's Lounge at MINIUSA. My wife and I will make the 2 hr run to Brian Harris Mini in Baton Rouge right after lunch.
I will post the details of the trip if and when we find our way back home. I plan to take the long way home. It is a good thing that I am almost motoring in my Mini because I am almost out of Drool!!

Fellow Graduates: mini-rolls, TonyMaguire, zagato67, Kecia, tmac, ns1122(miniln), jcs, mbabischkin, miniplusbug, and SKvarcius please keep us informed of your MINI motoring experience as those still in purgatory need encouragement.

We got "THE CALL" from our Dallas dealer yesterday and picked our MCS PS/B/Stripes.... actually arrived 5 days BEFORE the "Estimated Delivery Date".
So it hit Charleston, SC on 2/3, the web site said the Estimated Delivery Date would be 2/13 but we actually took delivery on 2/8.
Hope the rest of you get the early call too!!! Wow, does this thing turn heads!!!

2Stripes,
Congrats on being "Out of this Stinking Club". Got the list updated. Let's us know your motoring experiences.
My CHOREBOY will hopefully arrive this week at my dealer from the VPC. I'm targeting a 2/14 pickup, but if the call comes early, I'm off.

Hey all. The Falstaff is due into NYC today. The OL estimates delivery as 2/14/03. That seems a bit ambitious based on previous posts but...... I hope it is true. For ya'll folks who have received...HAPPY MOTORIN'. Even though the rest of us still wait...we are MOTORIN' with anticipation.

My status is much the same as WACTUARY and Sparkles. Watching the FALSTAFF sail, waiting for it to dock in NY 9or NJ). Apparently the FALSTAFF has been delayed either by weather, or for some other reason.
WACTUARY is tracking the boat for all of us on the FALSTAFF and I have simly been checking page 35 frequently. It seems that many of us in the 1/24 group will get our cars just as the salt clears from the roads and the spring flowers begin to bloom.
Poifect timing.....

Got my MCS finally Saturday.
The lock on the gas tank makes teribble noice when unlocking - will need to drive back to the dealer someday to replace the motor ( nobody was able to do it on the weekend) . Also found the car arrived with old winter package ( no heated winfshield, rain sensor for wipers no auto dimming rear view mirror) but was charged the new price of $ 500,-. Of course I did not find it at the dealer, so now I will see how easy it will be to get some change back - will affect the dealer rating .
On the better note - motoring home was a total blast - nice sunny afternoon in upper NY and VT, even opened sun roof a little, got a lot of looks of passing cars and almost got killed by a track passing in the curve and heading in my direction - had enough time to stop and put my car off the pavement - wandering if I should connect driving lights.
Took longer trip than needed, visited a lot of friends and washed the car at the touchless car wash. Now it sits in the garage with 282 miles and my cat sitting on its sunroof.
THANKS to everybody in our February Club for keeping me sain during the waiting period.
Happy motoring

DigP, the Owner's Lounge status always seemed to be 2-3 days behind. My dealer seemed to have more current information and kept me informed. We drove our MCS home yesterday and the OL status remains, "VPC".
SMKKVK, thx for the congrats. Our DOB was 1/9 so you should be seeing yours soon.
JCS, glad you're enjoying yours too!
Good luck everyone and have fun!

Went to MINI of Peabody yesterday to drop off my plates and I saw my car  ! It came off the truck that morning. I handed Martin (Dealership Mgr) the plates, and he handed me the key, saying, "want to check it out?" Being able to sit in it, but not being able to drive it off the lot was a little tough, but now I know it's really here! Should be able to pick it up this week depending on when I close on the car loan and when they get the prep done (and when I'm not on an airplane for business). May wait for the weekend, so I can motor un-interrupted for a couple of days...

Congrats to all in the February Club that took delivery, We are all moving to motoring phase. For those still waiting, trsut me it will happen, i for know that the waiting sucks, but it will end before you know it.
2stripes:
Congrats.
I too am in Dallas and am awaiting a DS/W MCS. Production date was 1/17. I was also on the Carmen that docked in Charleston on 2/3. Just waiting on "the call" now. OL has shown an estimated delivery date of 2/13 for some time.
I am buying through Moritz ... I assume yours was John Roberts. I will also have to wait on the dealer to install the alarm system, but I understand that that does not take very long. Perhaps mine arrived Saturday and with alarm install will be ready on Monday. We'll see.

So sorry to be out of the loop over the last 4 days, many things happening while waiting for BVLGARI to arrive on the FALSTAFF! Really all I have been able to do is join RUMINI, foo and the others in watching the ship's progress as tracked on the bottom of Page 35 of this long CWFFC thread by our hearty, energetic WACTUARY -- I've always said we are the luckiest ones to be able to have plotted, step-by-step updating!!!
Dear SMKKVK, I wanted to give you the specifics that BVLGARI will disembark in NY/NJ at Port Bayonne and spend some spa time at the VPC before coming south on a truck of some kind. Thanks for keeping us all current.

To fill in a few blanks,...
If all goes as planned (actually, I didn't even know if there is a plan), the FebEx will be picked up either 2/15 (fingers crossed) or 2/22 (don't think I can stand another week of waiting) at Motorwerks MINI in MN, although it's new home will be in Northwestern Wisconsin.

I am waiting along with DoNDoN (any others on the FAUST?) for our cars to hit shore on 2/13 in Charleston. The FAUST actually ports in Baltimore tomorrow on 2/10. I got a call from John Lloyd at Roadshow Mini in Memphis on Friday and we have delivery tentatively scheduled for Sat. afternoon 2/22. OL says estimated delivery is 2/21, so, everything is going to have to work just right or it's going to be Sat. March 1 before I can get it. Sure don't want that to happen - I want to be a true CWFFC member!

Congratulations to everyone who has picked up their MINIs recently! There are too many to name. Too much action going on in the Feb club!
I have an eventful week coming up - figuring out financing/tags/etc. I am not looking forward to these last minute details at all. I am still not expecting to pick up my car on 2/14 (in Nashville). Although, I would be delighted. I have too many details to work through first even should it arrive on Valentine's day.
Anyone else dreading those last minute details (especially financing and dealers trying to push unwanted warranties)? I stress too much over minor things. I'm sure everything will go much smoother than I am anticipating.
Cheers everyone!!!!

Ok, as mbabischkin's wife, I can give you the update on our motoring adventures. We love the car. We haven't taken it out on the open road since our Gettysburg/West Virginia adventure. But a few 'round town fun. It was snowed on for the first time in its short life on Friday and didn't move the whole day. However, we had a small adventure on Saturday... Ok, so here's the boring part...I drove the Mini. The big news is that I'm still learning to drive the manual; but I did a dang good job if I say so myself. However, hubby seems to think I need to work on "being nicer to the car." So, with a little more practice, I may actually get to drive the car I've wanted since I was 21.
Wish me luck and Happy Motoring.

Whatever he might think/say, we only own this MINI because of me.

There's no heated windshield, that was never put into production. Did you get the rain sensing wipers or not, not completely sure if you did. As for the mirror, there should be a little optical sensor in the mirror itself. You won't see the mirror actually dim, however when a vehicle pulls up behind you, there won't be any glare. Its very subtle, not like my old Jimmy where the entire mirror took on a greenish tint.

The Falstaff has sailed according to the tracking site, so anyone who was being delivered to NY should be on the docks somewhere on the way to the VPC! I now have an estimated delivery date on the OL of 2/14, although I'm betting it's at least a week later than that. My car was in production on 1/24 so it'll be about 2/24 when I get it. A month time for a brand new car custom built is not bad at all (minus the waitlist of course.:smile
