I here that needler......mine is on the jupiter diamond too...or was. now at port hueneme. although the owners lounge doesn't reflect any of this. Ask mini confirmed my suspicions though. Long Beach mini said that there's a 7-10 day turnaround at the VDC and is all dependent on the trucking company. I'd call your dealer or 866-Ask-MINI.

Time at the VPC is a guessing game. My MINI came in on the Hercules Leader on 1/29 at 6pm. MINIUSA did not know about it until after 12pm the next day when the work order was printed. Then on Friday morning I called again and my MINI was already shipped on the carrier to WA. I called my dealer and they knew nothing, told me call on the Tuesday the 4th. On Saturday the 1st, I had some business at the dealer and wanted to take another test drive, after I left the dealer at 1pm they called me and told me my MINI just arrived and they would have it ready for a 5pm delivery. They were shocked.

So from the port of arrival to me was less than 72 hours.

The problem I had was the wait on the England side, it took them 26 days to load my MINI on a ship.

Thanks for the Welcome! I had been wondering if mine was the only one on the Tai Shan. I was worried it was getting lonely but I see there were supposed to be 150 'brothers and sister' on the voyage.
I'll be watching to see when yours arrives. Hopefully we'll both be pleasently surprised by having them show up early. The IB was my second choice, great color. Mine won't be quite as deluxe as yours but it's got everything I need.

Love the idea of the refi on the neon...wife gets a new car and so do you!! However, that being the case; are you really looking at $600 a month for the mini after your $2K down payment? I don't know what interest rate you are looking at; but a lease or a Balloon, might lower payments today to get you over the two payment hump. I personally hate the idea of such a thing and we are eating the higher payment (just over $400/month) for the loan over a balloon. But, if it helps in the short term get you to have a savings again...then consider it, when you refi the balloon in 3 years, you'll have some more to throw to the principle.

I'm a (sort of) regular on other boards, but I heard there was a good support group here for "lost" MINIs, so here I am!

BRG MCS - 1/10 build, shipped on Carmen, OL says 1/31 delievery (to Princeton). However, OL and ASK-MINI still show that I'm waiting on the docks @ NYC.

I'm hoping it will be very soon now...

Wings, that's interesting. I had no idea how many other MINIs were on the ship. Cool. Well, the wait won't be that much longer... hopefully.... it's been rough so far.

I wonder if I'll be sick of thinking about my MINI before it arrives? Anyone else feel this way? Or is that a sacrilege? I've been waiting for it and thinking about it since I placed my order at the end of October. I have yet to have a dream about it though. I know I should probably keep my distance from this site for awhile so I won't get myself sick of the MINI before it even arrives - but I feel so compelled to come back to our support group. Everyone here is great! It makes the wait worth it!

No me. That's a bet I can make becuase odds are against me to post #1000 in this thread. Someone else is more likely to do it.

 

Called the dealership the other day and they said they have a car from the Carmen. Not mine though.

I think maybe my mcs is having too much fun at the VPC hangin with the sisters oh well whats a few more days when i've waited this long.

Thanks to tmac and info at the WW site, the February Express has landed in NY (NJ). I suspect off to the VPC, if not there already. I must call Gretchen this afternoon! So close I can almost smell it.

According to the always pleasant folks at ASKMINI, my car's done at the VPC as of today and has its thumb out trying to hitch a ride to Peabody, MA...

Can't wait to try out those seat heaters while doing some winter motoring...

 

Don't worry "Hamster", it's worth the wait. With the snow coming tonight and tomorrow, you really don't to be getting Ferris dirty and wet.
He will get delivered soon.
