R50 Canton Racing Expansion Tank Installation

Searched high and low to properly installing the Canton Racing expansion tank on a R50 although it states it will fit. Well it does not because of two connections. First, Canton expansion tank comes with 5/8" outlet vs. 3/8". Second, the R50 has only one outlet connection that is 3/8". I also consulted with Canton Racing tech (who was very helpful but could not find any instructions for the R50) with no success. Therefore, here is what you need: Napa Hose part #NBH10925 and a 5/8" to 1/2" reducer. The hose have to be cut by 1.5" on both end. No modifications to the original thermostat to expansion tank hose. Hope this helps anyone.

I had always wondered about that since the two cars use different designs. The R53 tank is pressurized, while the R50 is not.
