Hope this is Ok, if not moderators please delete! I was looking to get a lift for my shop with a low ceiling (11’) on a budget. Found Quickjack and looked for the best price and oddly enough Home Depot of all places has them on a special buy for $400 off! Who knew? Bought the 7000# model to service my truck as well as cars cost was $1280 shipped! The 5000# is cheaper, hope this helps others get an inexpensive lift to work on your stuff! * I do not work for Home Depot or Quickjack or anything just passing on info-E
Thanks for sharing. That’s a lot faster, and nicer, than floor jacking one side, sliding jack stands, and repeat opposite side. How stable or trustworthy would you consider these to be crawling under a car?
I was wondering how to jack up the mini, seemed like a PITA, so saw this and looks good, Mine is due to be in in a few days. It’s portable, you can slide it under the car from the side, and the footprint for each side is big. From internet research you’ll need to make plywood strips to put on the lift since the mini is so short in the wheelbase, the mini jack points fall on one of the lifts pivots, hence the plywood but didn’t appear to be a big deal. Search for Mini Cooper Quickjack, and it appears that they are compatible . Again I bought the biggest one since I need to lift an F250.
I picked up the QuickJack BL-5000SLX last January when Home Depot had them for $1,099. I've used it on my daughter's R50, my BMW E46, an older Ford Explorer, and my wife's Jeep Wrangler. For the Explorer and Wrangler, I purchased the truck and SUV adapters. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's very well made, a bit expensive, but after you use it a few times, you'll be very glad you have it.
I have been under all of the vehicles while on the QuickJack numerous times without ever feeling unsafe - it'v very stable. You could always stick jack stands underneath as a safety backup.
There's a great video on YouTube of the QuickJack lifting an insane amount of weight without failing.
