So I just replaced the clutch in my R53 with the Valeo solid flywheel conversion. I also pulled my LEFT axle to replace the CV boot. (Yes , I put that back together as previously aligned)

Clutch pedal felt great. Drove fine except slight steering wiggle coming off pedal acceleration.

ISSUE: After 10 miles or so, started hearing some noise (whirring/grinding) while in gear driving. Noise would go away once I pushed the clutch in. No distinct noise in neutral stationary pedal in or out.

UPDATE: Getting slight buzzing stationary, in neutral, pedal in & out, same with in gear. Most notable when in gear driving. Seems to go away driving clutch pedal in and/or in neutral.

NEED HELP DIAGNOSING.

 

When you replaced the clutch, I'm assuming you also replaced the throwout bearing? Transmission is full of fluid?

 

Did you seat the drive line correctly? The driver side axle will snap into place with a little persuasion.
