Pics of someones brand new MINI 'vert being transported

While driving West on I-10 in Florida on Dec 26th 2005 I spotted this MC 'vert on it's way to a new owner:

That would be too cool if someone actually figured out it was theirs on this fourm!

I thought all of the cars were supposed to be transported in enclosed transports?

That was the only MINI on that transporter truck and the only NEW car. Some of the other cars were antiques. Sucks that the MINI had to be put out front like that and run the risk of getting road debris. I did notice there was no license plate on the MINI.

Might be a transfer from one dealer to another.

At the height the MINI is on that truck, I doubt road debrits might hit it... But I would be sad if something happens to it..

I thought that they were shipped (to the dealership) in closed containers as well...

I'd bet that this one was purchased in Ohio or something like that and was being transported to the new owner in California or some such place that charges WAY over sticker...

Well, if CruzinChris saw it, it was in Florida! I'm wondering if it's being shipped to a local Florida Panhandle-area BMW Dealership to add flash to their lot!

It could have been someone like us - who bought out of state and had it transported. However, we chose an enclosed carrier which was a bit more expensive, but worth it since it was coming from the East Coast. Maybe it already went to a good home...

Chow!

I love the fact that some of us old timers still get excited about seeing a MINI being transported!

There's just something about these super little coopers!
