dipstick broke, measuring tip fell into oil pan

Pulled the dipstick and it snapped off at where the measuring tip starts so I pulled the tube and apparently the tip measuring section is now in the oil pan . I know it's common for these to break and it's happened to others but It seems like in all the posts I've read the section stayed in the tube and didnt fall into the oil pan . I cant imagine it would cause any issues if I leave it there. What do you guys think?

It can get chewed by the crank and block an oil passage... your call.

It sucks, but you really don't want anything down there that can clog oil passages.

I think that I'd hate myself every step of the way, but I would pull the pan.
