leak by the transmission

Well, today i did another oil change on my daughter's '05 R53, manual transmission. When looking underneath i noticed a couple wet spots (which i have now tracked down), but one i couldn't figure out.
Behind the driver-side front tire was a greasy/oily mess. When i removed the tire i was able to get a lot better look at it. I believe it's on the backside of the tranny. Is there any place there that could leak? It also was around the CV boot, and upon inspection thought maybe that might be the culprit..
I'll attach some pictures, and hope someone may be able to point me in the right direction here.

Thanks in advance!

I agree. Looks like transmission fluid to me... that CV needs replaced before she toasts the transmission.

Ripped cv boot. Grease from the boot is flinging at speed.

you can rebuild it or buy new. They are simple to replace. Some good videos on YouTube
