Willenius Wilhelmsem site won't let me track...
I can't get the site to track either by port or by my vin number. Am I doing something wrong? It just seems like the site isn't working, is there anything else I can do? I called ASK MINI and they said that the car has arrived at the port of exit.
Thanks all, mb |
Welcome to NAM. :)
I'm going to move this thread over to MINI Talk, so you hopefully get a quick response. |
It took about a week from the time my car arrived at the Port of Southampton to when I was able to get information back from the WW site with my VIN.
Cheers, |

Thanks all, mb (unless of course they have to interrupt the normal flow with with something unforeseen: "Greetings fellow motorer! Your vehicle is being winched from a drainage ditch at the site of a terrible lorry crash.." But seriously, I have consulted the astrologers, and me MINI has a safe journey in her future. Thanks again, Tatt |

Thanks all, mb Also, where are you located? If you're not on the east coast there's a chance you won't be on a WW ship, but rather on K-Line. |
The site seems broken in that when I hit the track button, nothing happens. When I go to a different page and hit the track button, it works, but alas, I dont have the correct type of number for that search.
I use firefox and will try it on IE. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. mbcoops I sorta feel like a jerk worrying about this when I placed the order two weeks ago, and some people have to wait for months and months. Why such a discrepancy in wait times? |
Trackless
I can't track mine either. It has to be on the Manon now headed for CA, but the WW site knows nothing. Ask MINI says it's on the way and my MA says it will arrive in CA on 1/2/05 - which is when the Manon is due.
I wish I knew for sure. |

IE, Oh!
Yes, I have tried Safari and IE on the mac. Neither will work. I've also tried IE on the Win2K box at work and no luck there either.
Still trackless. |
I finally found it...apparently it got on the Tristan on the 17th and left on the 18th. According to WW, the car is on that boat, and according to the ocean weather site (link is on mini2), the boat is in the middle of the Atlantic, headed for NYC by xmas day.
Now the problem is that nobody, I mean nobody, at Mini knows where the car is! I called the dealer and knew more than they did. I called the 1-866-ask mini number, and I knew more than they did, too. Anyhoozle, WW says the car is on the Tristan, so that is what I believe right now. mb ______________________ Vini S. Cooper |
Could you post the booking number?
TIA, |

I wish I knew for sure. California shipping is now going through another company. |
Willenius Wilhelmsem: ?????????????????

I have not been able to figure out the booking number from the WW site using a booking number I knew and then working forwards and backwards. Here's what I've been able to figure out (sorry about the formatting):
Booking # Voyage Vessel Dest Status GBSOU277990 GBSOU277991 GBSOU277992 GBSOU277993 ED434-MAN MANON Canada Complete GBSOU277994 ED435-ELX ELEKTRA Canada In transit GBSOU277995 GBSOU277996 EB433-PAT PATRIOT SC In transit GBSOU277997 EB434-FRE FREEDOM SC 12/22/2004 GBSOU277998 EB435-LIB LIBERTY SC 1/5/2005 GBSOU277999 GBSOU278000 EA447-RES RESOLVE SC Complete GBSOU278001 EQ447-TKO TAKASAGO SC Complete GBSOU278002 EA448-TER TERRIER SC Complete GBSOU278003 EQ449-MWI MAERSK WIND NY Complete GBSOU278004 EA449-JGM JINGU MARU NY In transit GBSOU278005 GBSOU278006 EQ451-FIG FIGARO NY 12/29/2004 GBSOU278007 GBSOU278008 GBSOU278009 EE434-TRS TORRENS Africa & Asia GBSOU278010 EE434-TRS TORRENS Africa & Asia GBSOU278011 EE434-TRS TORRENS Africa & Asia GBSOU278012 EF424-TLE TAMERLANE Asia GBSOU278013 EF424-TLE TAMERLANE Asia GBSOU278014 EF424-TLE TAMERLANE Asia GBSOU278015 EF424-TLE TAMERLANE Asia GBSOU278016 EE436-DOC DON CARLOS Asia GBSOU278017 EE436-DOC DON CARLOS Asia GBSOU278018 GBSOU278019 EE436-DOC DON CARLOS Asia GBSOU278020 |
Here is the booking number:
gbsou285439 Tristan Voyage: ex407-tst Call sign: SKWI If you put that booking number in, you'll find all of the cargo. Then you can look through it for your VIN. Or, just type your VIN in, and it should work as long as you're using IE. mb _________________ Vini S. Cooper |

<RANT> I can't begin to say how P*SSED I am to see cars with later VIN's than mine that made it to the port later than mine on the Tristan.   </RANT> |

All's well that ends well. My MINI is in New Jersey and should be at my dealer by Thursday or Friday, and my MA expects I'll be able to pick it up the beginning of next week! |
I feel for you. My MC got bumped for 3 weeks for no good reason. It just sat at the VPC, until I pestered them enough for someone to go find out why it was just sitting there, and they came back and said they didn't know why either. It got on the train the next day to the dealer.

I'm sure there's a reason, I just don't know what it is. Sigh, |
