Live and learn, and with a quick trip to O'Reilly I still got to do three afternoon sessions on Sunday.

@bump32 what makes the R56 calipers more difficult to change pads? I thought some folks found them easier than R53 pad changes, but maybe they just don't like the retaining clip?
Oh yeah Greenstuff will NEVER hold up to track use, Good thing is they are so soft it prob didn't hurt your rotors.
For EBC the Yellowstuff are the track pads.

But best bet is to get yourself some reds for street, and then get some of the R6 Glocs to start for track. Then as you get faster you can go to harder pads to get more bite and higher heat out of them.

And yes the pads on those R56 calipers are easier to change. You can just remove the bottom bolt on the caliper to bracket then the caliper will flip up and you can pull out the pads.

TwoBlueCars Yes, the pads are easy to change... just not as easy as some of the BBK I was looking at when I was researching all my options. And to tell you the truth, the process WMW just mentioned makes it even easier...thanks WMW.

Thanks Way and bump, that makes sense compared to bbk's. I need to pick my next track day and do a little shopping.

At least they give you fair warning that it's going to be addictive!
