My mini doesn't seem to have an A/C Blower motor Resistor
I have a 2002 mini S manufactured in Aug 02 with auto climate control. I am having issues with the fan in the air conditioning not coming on all the time and being intermittent. It seems most likely to be a blower motor resistor going bad. So I just ordered a new one. When I went to replace it I found where the other forums and pictures showed it should be but it was not there. Instead there was nothing but a black hole where it should, also the hole that it should have been installed in didn't seemed to be punched out so there was never anything there from the factory. Has anyone one else seen this or dealt with it? I will attach pictures to show what I am talking about, one showing where I am looking(front right under dash), a picture of where it should be and a picture of the part. Is there another resistor for these that I am missing?

Thanks, I’ve seen that. That was the point of my post and pictures. It was never installed there and I was wondering if maybe the early model r53 did something different. Clearly they did.
