What to take what to leave 2006 JCW partout help
 
Hi everyone I am new to the Mini world, I just bout a 2004 mini cooper s it needs to have the super charger serviced as it is making noise, so I was looking in my area for part outs just incase it was beyond fixable with the just the service. Low and behold a 2006 JCW is being parted out I am wondering if there is anything I should get from the JCW that would be worth buying to make more hp and make my Mini overall better? Or it is really just a waste to buy used JCW parts? thanks

Depends on how much work you wanna do and if you have any work done to yours now.

Supercharger - nothing special just a pulley which most people change anyway.
PCM - Probably the only thing I would be looking at, not sure how much work it is on a Mini to swap over. BMW's typically are too pricey to worry about.
Exhaust - if you like the sound of the JCW exhaust
Head - sought after and usually overly expensive for such a minor increase
Clone - If you going to a partial JCW clone then badging, door sills, valve cover, intake box, front grill?
Headlights - if that style differs from what you have and you like it

Would I be able to just swap the pcm over? What benefits would that give me? and would it need to be unlocked or anything?

Sorry that's what I meant about the pricey comment. Paying somebody to recode/program it. I honestly don't know what's required on a Mini.
