Dang it Dang it Dang it What more can I say!

 

I am now at status 190, in transit to port of exit. I went to the ship site and low and behold my MINI was received at the terminal this morning. However it is waitlisted for the Tosca, along with 36 other MINI's. I sure hope I make it on the Tosca. The wait is almost torture.

I'm on a truck! I'm on a truck!

I just wrapped up financing yesterday, got my insurance squared away, and I'm on a truck as of today! Should get the car delivered to the dealership tomorrow, but I probably won't be able to take delivery 'til next week. I'm on a business trip all week, and next Saturday is...March 1! I can't wait for March 1! (of course, if it's sooner, that's OK too!)

I'm not progressing as fast as others with my 2/28 production date, but I'm at 151 (Bodyshop) and they say I will move into 152 (Paintshop) over the weekend! Slowly, but surely.

Do any of you go to your dealer for a MINI fix? My dealer let's me come in and drive whenever I want. I haven't gone in a while, but today was such a beautiful day in Philly that I had to. WHAT A BLAST! I got a little sumpin' to tide me over. It reminded me, as if I needed it, how much I love these cars. I also heard the HK system and it's spectacular.

4-5 weeks until BONZO's here!

In an unrelated note, in my dream during my nap just a few minutes ago, i saw the TITUS with CARMEN trailing right behind, going under a bridge in Norfolk, VA while i was riding a skateboard in the pouring rain with a plastic garbage bag as a poncho. I couldn't wait to go back home and report spotting the ships. was VERY disappointed to wake up, and realize 'twas just a dream ...

Fellow Titus travelers. I just spoke with my dealer (Long Beach Mini), who says that my Mini should arrive at the dealer the week of March 10, probably on Monday or Tuesday of that week. Of course, this is just an estimate.

 

Hello everyone. A rainy day in Cincinnati (better than snow I guess). Looking forward to the weekend because by the time Monday rolls around, the CARMEN will be here! WAIT! WHAT!!! Delayed 2 DAYS!!!!!!! Hopefully that will allow the AIDA to clear out all her MINIs before we get there. Here's tonight's update. Still no news from the TITUS. dammit, i lost my first post...

anyway, i didn't know til tonight that there was an Estimated Delivery Date listed on the Owners Lounge. Is this supposed to be the ships' arrival dates, or the delivery dates of cars to dealerships?

also, What is everyone's listed delivery dates, original production date, and what ship are you on. I just wanna know if the estimated delivery dates are car-specific, ship-specific, or what. I know they will most likely be off in their estimations with all the snow up NE backing things up (my dealer said a week), but just wanted to know the method to those dates on MINI USA.

We went to the dealer last night to drool a bit and climb around and ended up spending more money. The dealership now offers tinting by the same people that do the invisa-bra. I know I could have gotten it tinted for less tham $300 but it will be nice to see her complete when we go to pick her up. The dealer said that we shouldn't worry too much about the VDC it should go rather quickly, they apparantly have the capacity to do 2000 cars. The problem is tracking after it leaves there, the trucking company gets it and they lose track again. Well he said it should be 2 weeks or less now!!!!! This is so exciting!
