Source for GP rear strut brace, or similar?

Did the rear seat delete, and really happy with it. Getting ready to order carpet to finish the flat floor, but I am considering a few additional ideas.

First, I'm wanting to install something similar to the GP rear strut brace. I'm looking for a bar that installs at the front edge of the rear seat, not behind the seat backs. My goal here isn't so much chassis stiffening as something that I can install a cargo net to keep a 120# dog from sliding forward into the back seat if I have to make an emergency stop.

The only aftermarket parts I've found mount behind the rear seat backs. I want something that mounts to the b-pillar area right behind the front seat backs.

Any suggestions?

Contact a local fabricator and have them make you something.

That would be plan C.

If I go the fab route, I'll probably make it myself. I'm too cheap to pay others. But I'd rather spend my time working on my project car (the MINI is my DD). So if I can find a mass produced bolt in, that's the best option for me.

I hadn't sear he'd for a harness bar, that helped a lot @MINI33342

I don't need one that will pass tech inspection. This one has my eye right now.

That's the *only* bar that I'd found for the R53, and personally, for what you're asking, I wouldn't spend $250 on that as someone who could weld a roll bar in would be more than capable of adding what you're asking easily. Backing plate, two bends, few welds, done. Can even make it removable, mounted to the seat-belt mounts, if you so desired.
