R50/53 Service at dealers where car was not purchased
There seems to be a wide difference is service from dealer to dealer, but I’ve never heard of any dealer giving less service to someone because the MINI was bought somewhere else.
My MCS was purchased in Jacksonville Fl, but I take it to a dealer that is closer in Baton Rouge LA, who I’ve gotten outstanding service from.

This isn't Mini specific, but my experience also varies. What I've done,w hen I've moved to a new location, is go around to a couple local dealers and introduce myself to the service department and introduce my car, and get it registered in theirr computers. If they seem more than happy to get it registered, for me it s agood sign they care about me as a customer. If they repond more along the lines of 'why are you here?', I go elsewhere.
It is absolutely possible to get worse, equivalent and better service from your nonpurchased dealer. My technique might be harder due to the low number of Mini dealerships, but its still possible.
