Trade in value
Just for kicks I looked at the trade in value for my 06 MCS and the result was $800 to $1,100 on KBB but retail was close to $4,500.
Small gap, LOL !

I'd never trade my R53. It's not a financially sound idea, but I'll keep buying parts for it as long as I can drive it.

It all has to do with your stomach for dealing with John J. (jerk) Public during a private sale. I personally just take the dealer loss & move on. The less often you trade the less this hurts.
