bushings
I figured I'd ask here before I try and guess at what brand I should buy. I've replaced all four wheel hubs and the annoying pulsating vibration is gone. I'm happy about that, but now I've noticed a knock on the right side when going over bumps. I put it up on jack stands and I can see the lower bushing is worn out when I give a little side to side push on the tire so I'm going to ask what bushing sets should I buy. I have a set of KW v2's I want to install, but I figured I might as well replace all the worn suspension parts while I'm at it. As some are aware this is my first mini and I'm familiarizing myself with it as I go, so bare with me, at 111k miles what other suspension parts or bushings should I look at to replace? I have already ordered the Vibra-Technics motor mounts and torque link to replace the worn OEM mounts.

Powerflex hands down as they always fit right, never fail and if they did would have their lifetime warranty. Also they just went on sale.

Dang, I just missed the sale.
I just did a front end suspension re-do. Motor/engine/trans mounts all poly- very happy with them. The lower engine mount significantly increases n/v/h, but I like it. Wife can tolerate it. New ball joints, new poly FCABs, poly steering rack bushing, poly sway bar bushings. The pre-pressed option was great. May be worth replacing the big bolts. Good time to do your crankshaft position sensor o-ring replacement. |

Located on the front of the engine block (behind the electrical plug in the attached photo) just below the supercharger air duct (black plastic duct at the top of the attached photo).

I replaced all of my suspension bushings, motor mount, and transmissions mounts with Power flex bushings about 5 years ago. They are still doing great, nice and firm, no issues. I have no complaints.

Where is this located? I'm doing the crank shaft main seal with the crank pulley replacement so if this is a problematic failure o ring, you're advice is much appreciated.

I have the sub frame out and I'm fretting everything up. I wanted advice on the steering rack. Should I use the OEM rubber bush or the Poly Bush from Super Pro. I'. not a track driver, this is my daily that I sometimes take on a rip on a twisty back road. How will the poly bush change the steering feeling? Thanks.

Polys are going to give you noise and vibration - bothersome on a DD.
