Have a red lensed light in bumper of 2006 MCS. Have no idea what it is for. Research suggest may be rear fog light but have no switch on panel. Not brake light and does not come on with reverse lights. Good bulb. Any suggestions????

 

Is it the light right above the exhaust? If so, it is the rear fog light. Have you had the car since new? The previous owner might have installed it in the hopes of doing the fog light mod. If there is no switch, the car came with a black cover that fits in that spot. There are multiple threads out there of people either doing the fog light mod, or converting it to a brake light or converting it to a reverse light with a clear lens.

I just personally did the rear fog light mod. For the rear fog light, the wiring is already installed (at least on my 05 MCS) and all that is needed in your case, is a new switch bank and programming.

 

I am second owner. Yes it is just above exhaust. I need to research the switch bank change over thank you for information
