As for the Quaife and other parts we keep that all on the shelf and ready to ship as we install them in the shop all the time.
Don't bother ordering coolant online. You can pick up much cheaper coolant at your local parts store that works fine. I even run the green in my cars.
And with the Quaife, do I need to use shims and preload the diff bearings? Any place I can get an install procedure on that?

You do need to order new bearings for the quaife. I found a youtube video for the quaife install.

I've seen those videos and that's partially why I'm asking. A bunch of people complain in the comments about how they did not adjust bearing preload or shim the diff. I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing when I get in there.

With the Quaife no shims needed, just install and go

Alright cool. What sealant do you use for the transmission case? Do you torque the ring gear bolts or just impact them?

So how much power does the Valeo SMF kit actually hold? I need a clutch for my r53 as well, however I have a turbo conversion and have the potential for just under 300hp and peak torque at 4100rpm (currently only running 19psi, rough estimates now are between 250-270hp). My stock clutch is finally slipping so I need to find something decent to hold the power, but not something that will break the bank account.

I've read it will hold 270whp but I just don't trust that. I'd say you should pick up a higher spec clutch to be safe. If you're doing a turbo conversion, I doubt you care much about a little stiffer engagement anyway.

Ehh, I'll definitely need something bigger then, I'm close to that number now with the turbo at 19psi. I could care less about pedal engagement, nothing about the car is anywhere near stock as it is, so a bit stiffer on the pedal won't bother me.

Was just hoping to find something a bit more reasonably priced, any decent clutch and solid flywheel conversion is almost $1,000.

Yeah, you don't want to be doing it twice so I wouldn't recommend going with the Valeo first.

I just re-discovered this thread. My new Valeo is already slipping again, less than a year and ~8k miles since putting it on. Same symptoms as before. The old clutch actually had plenty of life left as well. Seems like they actually can't hold power, contrary to what I've heard you guys say. Could there be any other cause?

I installed it. I had another shop diagnose it and they said they thought something was wrong with the clutch, though they never found out what. Now running a stock Luk kit again. Hopefully it stays good.

I’ve been running 270 whp on the Vallejo for years no issues. It loves the TVS 900

Remember, while HP is a concern for clutch slippage, if you're on the edge of what it will hold...
Torque is your enemy, so higher gears after multiple hard shifts, and increasing heat, makes complete sense.
