power steering fluid.

Interesting....b/c I've been bitching about my steering since I got it. The "typical mini whine" and feel. I even made a separate thread and video about it

^^Powersteering fluid,
I'd ask if it was into the dealer recently for the EHPS warranty work, but you're not covered by it. Start by looking at the powersteering return line (rubber hose crimped to a steel line) it is the most prominent leak in the PS system. Powersteering Return Line |
Links didn't work above--I guess b/c I was on mobile

The power steering lines themselves can be a problem area as well and leak. Check the return and suction lines. #1 and #11 on the diagram below. Be sure to also inspect the pump and rack itself for any signs of leakage as well.

It's often just that the rubber shrinks a little and the clamp needs tightening. Except you can't tighten this type of clamp. So I removed those clamps (4 of them) and installed normal worm clamps. That took care of 98% of the leak, now it just makes a little oily film on the hose but never runs anywhere.
