R50/53 Seeking reviews of Classic Mini, Mentor Ohio
I couldn't agree more - Julie (and Classic) is Great
I am in the throws of neurosis at the moment. I have been bothering Julie at least a couple times a week with questions about delivery and checking the status. Our car is now finished at the VPC and should be on route to Classic. I'm hoping that we might be able to get it this weekend, but more likely the following weekend. Julie has been spectacular throughout this process.
After seeing the Anthracite headliner in the first 2005s delivered to my local (well Buffalo) dealer, I had to have the dark headliner on our MC. Unfortunately MiniUSA had discontinued it after the August build and all cars ordered as of August 1st at my dealer were September or October builds. I took a chance and called Classic and got Julie. She had actually had a cancellation earlier that week at Classic and was able to grab that production slot for my wife and me. We modified the order to our liking and got the headliner because the scheduled build date was 8/23. Our new car (Monty) was born August 26th and went on a ship somewhere between Sept 1st and 3rd. Monty arrived in Charleston, SC around the 9th and did his time at the VPC. The shipping was not by WW and therefore could not be tracked online. This of course resulted in me persistently calling and emailing Julie to see where Monty was. Julie has always been gracious and helpful. She has been very prompt with replies to my questions and is far more knowledgeable than anyone at my local dealership. She even reads the forums to stay abreast of every bit of new Mini news (Hi Julie). You should have a great car buying experience with her, as I have.

Classic Mini (Mentor Ohio) Two thumbs way up!
Hello All,
I ordered my 05 Chili Red MC from Classic Mini in Mentor Ohio. I am from Michigan and I have a MINI dealer relativley close to me. I called Classic to see if they had any better luck in terms of delivery time versus Motor City Mini here in Detroit. Luckily, I got hooked up with Mike Kost as my M.A. He informed me that because they do so much business, the delivery time on an MC was 5-6 weeks. After hearing that, I made my order on the spot.
Since then, Mike has been great! I have phoned him a number of times with all sorts of unusual questions. It seems as if Mike takes a lot of pleasure in talking to folks like us who are eagerly awaiting the delivery of our MINIs. if you decide on Classic, you will be very satisfied.

They are simply fantastic to deal with. I bought my MCS from Julie and she was great all the way from beginning to end. New all answers to all my questions and kept me informed every step of the way. I flew in from out of town and she even picked me up at the airport. Great personal service!! I've dealt with the parts dept. several times and have had nothing but good experience with them.
Good luck.
Good luck.
I didn't buy my MCS from Julie/Classic but I almost did. It came down to the fact that the family car broker managed to get the car at the same price in CA as classic's msrp + shipping.
Although I didn't buy the car there, I plan to buy all accessories from them and if we can't get the same deal on my dad's MCS next year we'll purchase from classic.
