I was wondering do they have aluminum one of this?

I saw someone say they have aluminum versions of this or are this R56 versions that just bolt on to the R53 and if it just the R56 once what else would i need to make this work on an R53?

Some take the R53 GP and switch them. Edge had them and has done it.

Just copy and paste the 11 digit part number into our site.

Thanks for the reply. read thru the post though it wouldn't be a straight swap.

Not quite a straight swap. You'll need to make sure you have A few small fasteners which are different, or considered one time use, R53 to R56 strut bushings or R56 rear struts, and R56 swaybar end links. I think some people use their old end links by grinding down part of the R56 arms.

A little lighter, but if you do it, be very careful with the threads for the bolt for
the bottom of the shock, as aluminum can strip much more easily than steel.
