Your ecu is designed and coded for an automatic car. It's not reading the 6mt and is telling the car something is wrong.
For example in an auto you put it in park to start it and the comp reads that but a manual you compress the clutch and the comp reads that |
It has been done, but I don't have the details.
Way Motor Works has done a bunch. You'll need someone to reprogram the ECU, and I think there is at least one wiring harness to replace. |
Yes need to send us the computers and we can fix it. The car still thinks it's a CVT so it won't work

Just a stab in the dark, I'm sure there's some kind of neutral switch from the auto, could you not plug that in and trick the computer into thinking it's always in neutral? That should let it start and rev fine.

I will try to do something tomorrow Then I came back again to let you know Thanx for all I'm happy for replys |
As much as these cars are computer controlled I'm not positive it will work, but that's how I've done it on older vehicles before.
|
Good luck with that but I bet there's no way you will get it to work without getting your ecu programmed.
|
The switch to let the car start in park and neutral is basically the clutch switch in a manual. An auto car in neutral is basically a manual with the clutch pedal in as far as a computer is concerned.
Also way to be optimistic. I'm just trying to help him out till he can get it tuned right. |
Can't hurt to try that's for sure. Expensive to get that ecu programmed

Great to hear you found a work-around fix!
The 6-speed should last just about forever. |
