Does anyone use or know of someone who has used the racing seats from Raceland? www.raceland.com

Just hard to spend $300 for one seat from Sparco and buy brackets when I can get a pair of seats and brackets for like $500.
|
Maybe look into Carbeau seats. They sometimes can be cheaper than Sparco. Their Forza racing seat starts at $239.

At this rate, Id rather just get some Cipher Seats @AndysAutoSport where you have more choices and options for seat style and color and reclining if you're gonna go the replica route for seats. |
A lot of people seem to forget that a Chicom cheap seat can get you injured or killed. I would hate to get in a wreck where the seat back failed.

do you want race seats? Or just newer seats?
Folks have put gen2 seats in gen1 cars... the airbags (side) should work...so no mods needed. |
Even medium-priced seats ($3-800) are generally lower quality than the stock seats and will not last long. The lower quality ones have just a fiberglass shell--not a metal frame--which is dangerous in a rear-end collision: you'll find yourself to be a hood ornament of the car rear-ending you.
If you're going to spring for seats, I hate to say it but you gotta go big to get real value. |
So the reclining Sparcos then? I want a lighter seat than stock as this is my fun car. Not a track car, but I like to get aggressive on some winding roads from time to time.

Sparco Milanos are what I would call a minimum of quality. Just don't expect the Alcantara to last, especially at the bolsters. Cloth or leather would be better. The Recaro CS is a sweet seat, and will make your nose bleed when you see the price. I had two different sets of Corbeaus that looked the part, but were sub standard.
|
What do you mean by sub standard? I originally looked at the Sparco R100 due to price and being able To keep the blue/black interior scheme going.
