Here's a quick video I made earlier today of the constant, high pitched whine coming from the passenger side of my valve cover. I'm not familiar enough with Mini engines to know if this is normal, so I ask - Is this normal?

 

A common problem we've seen several of lately is the plastic coming off the timing chain guides. As these get old the plastic is getting brittle and falling apart. We've had to keep the parts in stock for cars coming in for service.
We recommend replacing both guides, and the tensioner
