440,000 Mini's and counting!

BMW has recently reported that they have now delivered over 440,000 MINIs worldwide to customers since July 2001 when production began! One million Mini 2's can't be far away...

MINI exclusivity is no more. I believe the figures for the U.S. is at about 96,000 since the car first appeared in March 2002.

It's still hard to get a Mini though. Some dealers have a 1 year wait so don't worry about your neighbor getting one soon.

and they should stop distributing minis in the usa.........now.
the one year wait may be true in other parts of the country, but it seems like everyone and their mother has one in ny now!

Well....I wouldn't go that far. Come to NJ (or NY). One of my neighbors has one, and there are at least 2 more in my nearby vicinity. Popular car in these parts.

I wouldn't be surprised by how many Mini's can be found in parts of Jersey and NYC seeing that the household income level is quite high in those parts of the country.

So, what is a high number when it comes to cars? I live in Utah and I don't see very many Minis. There are tons of Honda Civics and Accords though! When is there going to be too many Minis around?
