Unfortunately my r53 was involved in an accident and was declared totaled. The other bad news is that my air bag sensor had been faulty for a while as well. Yet despite that, and being t-boned at 40 mph on the driver's side by a ford expedition, I managed to escape with only a minor concussion. It's amazing how well my car held up in the crash but it just goes to show the bmw design and quality.

Stay safe and wear your seatbelts.

Rest in peace my pure silver stage 3 r53 2002-2014

VERY glad to hear that you were for the most part ok! These little cars hold their own in an accident from what I have seen. What are your plans with the car? Are you going to look for another one and replace parts or just be done with MINIs? Hopefully not.

Glad you're ok. When are you getting another R53?:)
