Help: Sunroof won't close

So my sunroof won't close. It sounds like the track needs to be greased or cleaned. What is your recommendation?

Update: I got it closed, but it seems that it needs to be greased.

If your sunroof makes odd noises and doesn't sound smooth while its closing then yes you need to clean out the rails and regrease them. Use a synthetic grease. It holds up much better. I used WD40 and Q tips to clean out the rails. then applied new grease using Q tips. You will be surprised at how smooth it works after!

No problem.. It takes a bit of work to get the old grease out but you will be happy you did it! Good luck!

if cleaning and re-greasing don't fix the issue then motor could be on its way out.
