I am thinking about getting a MC40. What do people think of the ones they have bought. Thanks in advance.

I like the carbon fiber dash and the wheels and little else. So sunroof, no cruise controll. It aint worth $7k to me. Unless you want to garage it as a long term investment. But that kinda misses the point of the mini. But I like the graphins alot. I may have to recreate them.

I'd much rather spec my own red MCS with all the options and extras I wanted to make it truly unique: 1 of a kind instead of 1 of a thousand. . .

The extra $7000 could go toward making one amazing MINI. . . .

JCW + $2500 in suspension / wheels and tires > MC40.

It's just a marketing gimmick -- all fluff and no substance. It's a waste of money. And you can forget about any collector value.

Other than that, it's great!

Ian Cull reports on his gbmini weblog that MINI Peabody is auctioning a MC40 on e-bay
