So you don't remember in F1 when the BMW turbo-4's were putting out around 1500hp in qualifying trim?

while sitting there in class, perhaps you could ask your professor for a lesson in reading comprehension.

Mabey some posters should re-read the original post and see that he was being sarcastic. It looked as if several folks got a pair of knickers in a bunch and thought he was serious. Just my buck O' five

A mini can "smoke" anything, if you're willing to put the time and money into it. That goes for any car though.

Back to the F40, that car is very sexy. One of the ultimate supercars that have stood the test of time. I think it is the only production ferarri that wasn't NA.

the only cars ive really "smoked" are the honda tuners and a toyotas
i also had a real nice time embarassing a honda s2000
i was on the interstate and i saw this honda with a nice girl in the passenger seat. I came up next to it and put my car in neutral and revved my engine the honda did the same and threw it self into gear a second later. I quickly went into 5th and floored the pedal, The s2000 was maybe 2 feet ahead I went into 6th and i was already at 105+ I accelerated untill the honda was 1/4+ mile back..i slowed down to see the driver again...when I looked by i saw the blonde in the passenger seat yelling at the driver and then she looked at me i waved and gave them a cocky look which felt very pleasing
i bet this ***** wanted to be in my car.....i mean who wouldnt?

sorry, I thought you meant top ten in the US. Rose-Hulman. And why does it matter if we know where you are going to school? There's a whole thread here somewhere dedicated to just that. I went to Just Missed UVA

That's a pretty smart kid at age 10 for pointing out that it was a F40. I think they stopped making them around 92. (I don't know I wasn't even 10 at that time. )

B
Did they make the F40 past 1988? I read a book where it mentioned that the "40" stood for Ferrari's 40th year. Enzo built his first "Ferrari" car in 1948.

I had an F40 for 8 years and everytime I drove it, someone wanted to race.

One of my favorite things to do would be when they would dive in front of me at a traffic light and slam on their brakes....because they had to get in front of the F40. When the light turned green and they stomped on it, I would stay fairly close.....they would pick up speed......i would stay close. You could see them checking their speedo and I knew that they were thinking, "I can't believe that I can't pull away". At that point I would kick in some boost and pass them like they were stopped! All good fun.

Most people would give thumbs up at the next light and not cut me off anymore, but it was usually the Corvettes that I would do that to would invariably either turn off or play with their mirror or phone, or something. It was very predictable.

I can see egging you on so you'd mash the pedal....I'd do it just to hear that thing. We have an F40 out near me...I love seeing it out on the backroads....so sweet.

I am sure half of them did it for the entertainment factor. The Vette guys were funny. I think that they took it all way too personally!
