He's parked in the garage!

I put down my deposit at the beginning of April, and now, after many months of waiting, I have a BRG MCS in my garage! I ordered the car without racing stripes, and I have since decided that I wanted stripes and a checkered roof, but now, after finally seeing the car in person, I'm considering ditching the roof. The British Racing Green is SO great in person. Photos rarely do it justice.

I have discovered that one of the greatest drawbacks to having a MINI is that it takes so much longer to get anywhere. I mean, it took me an hour and a half to get to the dealer, and FIVE hours to get home.

I feel sorry for you all who live in the flatlands, and in the cities. I know that the MINI is supposed tobe a metropolitain car, and I'm sure it plays that role well, but I have never had so much fun in a car as I have on the trwisty winding back roads in Easxtern PA and Western NJ. There are so many possibilites for a rally that its silly.

In NJ:

And in PA:

I think BMW put a little of their motorcycle DNA into the Cooper S. D@MN, was it ever hard to stay below 45000 RPM!

If anyone ifeels like taking a drive, let me know! I''m up for it!

Verruckt - Congrats! I saw my first MCS in BRG earlier this month! Incredible looking! I LOVE my DS/W but if I knew how cool a BRG in an S would look back in June...hmmm....you never know.

Anyway, where are you??? I live in NJ - exit 43 on Route 78. Bought from Morristown, NJ. Actually was in PA yesterday - between Hawley and Honesdale near Lake Wallenpaupack. Am/was I anywhere near you??????

Yeah, I always find it hard to keep it under 45000 rpm, too... But that
darn redline keeps getting in the way...

Congrats on your MINI! Man, that BRG/W really does look sharp.

Congrats verruckt!!!! I have to say that I'm a bit envious, I'm still waiting for my BRG MCS. It's supposed to be at the dock 11/11. Hopefully it won't be long after that before I get the car home. Enjoy your MINI and keep the pics coming.
